For those of you interested in my Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement experiment please allow me to give you an update.
After much initial excitement that included visions of a future with renewed energy, level headed coolness and a feel real good sensation, I have little to report. Mostly this is due to the arrival of my old friend SPOT a mere three days into the bioprocess. According to the progesterone cream instructions, all twice-daily applications had to stop if the red head made an appearance. So for the next seven days, regardless if buddy SPOT stayed around or merely sulked in the corner of my aging reproductive system, my progesterone cream routine was paused.
This had the equivalent effect of having my parade peed on and all bubbles burst.
I cried. Sobbed in fact. Several times. Go figure.
Slowly I’m getting my bio-identical jiggy back. Yet sadly the first blush of love that I felt has gone. Vanished. Turned to dry obligation. The pattern of remembering to apply and even more specifically, to apply on a different thin skinned place each time sits squarely in my mind like a ‘pile of should’.
Still, I’m very new to the game and not about to give up. Too many women, with eyes sparkling have confessed to experiencing a ‘menopausal zest’ thanks to Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement.
Zest! According to my dictionary this includes - keen enjoyment; relish; gusto.
Please. Pass the relish.
