I have good news. In today’s Menopause News Alert - which sounds much more dramatic than it should given the glacial speed that menopause travels – the following story clearly argues that baby boomers are trailblazers - Trailblazing through menopause - and that ‘our Second Adulthood’ will make the first attempt look pale by comparison.
Sure we have some bugs to work out - just like back in the olden days of adolescence - which predated First Adulthood. Remember when acne covered every square inch of your face and you hated everyone? Good times for sure. But once healed, you were an adult and the party really started.
Well apparently, this was only the teaser party - the warm-up to the post game party - which is not to say the game is over but more that now, yes right now, you are the winner of the First Adulthood Round and menopause is the signal that the Second Adulthood party games are set to begin.
Strange but I’m sure not meant to be contradictory, I learned that being a trailblazer means that our generation is the first bulk of people that have lived long enough to actually have the full meal deal of menopause. So just how anyone knows that ‘the best is yet to come’ when we’re the actual guinea pigs - err - scouts - is a tad suspect.
Still, I will not look a gift horse in the mouth - meaning do not look to closely at the gifts you get via your Menopause News Alerts - and will instead be happy that my adventuring, trailblazing days are before me and that the party is just cranking up.
