Today was our first 30C day of the season. There I was, sitting in my doctors office, a stuffy rather rustic space with no central air, discussing something non-menopause related when a hot flash from hell decided to BBQ me right on the spot.
I quickly did a clothing adjustment followed by a hair tie trick that is as slick as pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Then I inched forward so that barely any of me was touching any surface and I inhaled deeply through my nostrils.
Despite my obvious hot flash emergency response, my doctor - a woman of my vintage, said nothing.
I figure I’m either excellent at integrating my relief actions into my stream of motion or she’s in the same sweaty boat as me and saw no reason to comment.
Silence is a sure sign of a ‘been there, done that’ hot flasher.
